A Flying Saucer?
No, this is the new 12,000-seat arena, officially known as the SSE Hydro. The name refers to its sponsorship by Scottish Hydro and their parent group SSE plc. The arena is due to open with a Rod Stewart concert on 30th September, and will be the venue for the Netball and Gymnastics events during the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
