Percy's Cross
Percy's Cross
In memory of Sir Henry Percy, leader of the English at the Battle Of Otterburn in August 1388. The Cross is in a small plantation, off the A696 west of Otterburn village. The area, despite the potential to be a pleasant stop-off for cross-border tourists, is in dire need of some tender loving care. This information sign NY8793 : Battle of Otterburn 1388 has been destroyed in recent years.
