Triumphal Arch, Tunnel Road
Triumphal Arch, Tunnel Road
To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the granting of municipal borough status to Reigate and Redhill in 1863, a temporary triumphal floral arch has been created in Tunnel Road. This is a replica of a similar arch built across nearby Bell Street in 1837 to welcome the new Queen Victoria as she passed through Reigate that year en route to Brighton.

This photo shows the newly completed arch, with the tunnel behind.
