Statue of Henry V
Statue of Henry V
This statue of Henry V is on the front of Shire Hall and overlooks Agincourt Square in Monmouth. Henry was born at Monmouth Castle, there is some doubt as to his actual date of birth, another possible date being 16 September 1386. At the time of his birth he wasn't expected to become king. The statue is by Charles Peart and was added to Shire Hall in 1792.
