Statues of Monmouth's two most famous sons, on the left, motoring and aviation pioneer, Charles Stewart Rolls (1877-1910) of nearby Hendre, and King Henry V (c1387-1422) who was born at Monmouth Castle. The statue of Henry V is on the facade of Shire Hall it is by Charles Peart and was added in 1792.
