Pub at 73 High Street. The pub name sign depicts a white talbot, a large breed of hound with long hanging ears and heavy jaws. Now extinct, talbots were used for tracking and hunting.
The street name sign behind a lamppost shows that High Street was formerly Upper Street.
This is the NW end of High Street. The Load Street name sign is on the right.
