River Feshie - looking upstream
River Feshie - looking upstream
The Feshie here runs through a fairly wide, broad-bottomed valley; the river is relatively shallow and easy enough to ford in these low conditions. No doubt after heavy rain (or following snow melt) it would be a completely different proposition. The banks are formed of extensive deposits of eroded moraine material, much of which is constantly being refreshed from the valley's reserves of glacial deposits that are cut into on the outside of the river bends.
