Old A1, new railway
Old A1, new railway
The pass at Penmanshiel, seen from the old alignment of the A1. The crags on the left are due to the new railway running around the old Penmanshiel tunnel which collapsed in 1979 killing Peter Fowler and Gordon Turnbull who were working in the tunnel.
