The River Ouse under Balcombe Viaduct
The River Ouse passing under one of the arches of the Balcombe Viaduct. The 11 million bricks required to build the viaduct came from Holland and were transported by barge from Newhaven along the Ouse Navigation, which was completed in 1812,and terminated at this point.
