Fletcher Gate, Hedon, Yorkshire
New Hall, No.11 Fletcher Gate, built for William Iveson Senior (1728-86), a Hedon solicitor, under-steward to William Constable (Lord of the Manor), Mayor of Hedon (1767, 1775 and 1780), and Deputy Sheriff of Yorkshire. Built by Jacob Dawson, Town Clerk. Illustrated is the wing breaking forward to north-west: ground floor of this is converted part of adjoining (west) 18th century barn. The pediment carries the date 1720; Pevsner, however, quotes 1730-42. Grade II* Listed Building LinkExternal link
