Canterbury Road (A28) approaching Margate
The statue on the left was cast in bronze in the likeness of a fisherman. It was erected to commemorate a disaster in 1897 when the Margate surfboat "Friend To All Nations" capsized and all the crew was lost. The tall building on the right is Arlington House, while in the distance the other tall building marks the entrance to the Dreamland Amusement Park, which stands derelict in TR3570.
