Seen from the end of the Prince of Wales Pier, she is a sprint-class ship operated by Carnival Cruise Lines. She was built by Kvaernar Masa-Yards which was a subsidiary of Kvaernar, in Helsinki shipyard, Finland, launched on 17 December 2001 and delivered to Carnival on 14 August 2002 LinkExternal link On 13 September 2013 she was bound for a 13-day cruise from Dover to Norway, Edinburgh, Invergordon, Glasgow, Belfast, Dublin and Le Havre from where she was to return to Dover.
