Sometimes described as a “Gateway to the Highlands of Scotland”, the village of Crianlarich is a route centre where the main A82 road is joined by the A85 Perth-Oban road. The West Highland railway divides here with one branch heading due west towards Oban, the other continuing north over Rannoch Moor to Fort William.
