The General Assembly Hall
The General Assembly Hall
This is the hall where the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland meets every year in May for a week to elect the next Moderator and conduct the affairs of the Church. It was also used from 1991 as the Scottish Parliament before the new Parliament building at Holyrood was opened, and it is used for outside ceremonies and events, and as a festival venue in August.
