Collapsing peat banks and an eroding moraine
Collapsing peat banks and an eroding moraine
Evidence of the power of the river here; it's undercutting large blocks of peat out of the banks and into the stream (this would help to explain the brown colour of the river in places), whilst in the background it's cutting through a glacial moraine, which drops many boulders and stones onto the river bed.
