Wimborne St Giles Church
Wimborne St Giles Church
The church was built in 1732 and contains the Ashley family pew and memorials. On Michaelmas Day 1908, the old church was destroyed by a fire which started in the western tower. The internal fittings and roof of the Georgian church were destroyed. The restoration work was carried out by Mr Ninian Comper. Wimborne St Giles is one of the most glorious village churches in Dorset.
