Tafarn y Bachgen Du/Black Boy Inn
Tafarn y Bachgen Du/Black Boy Inn
This tavern dominates the short Stryd Pedwar a Chwech (4s6d Street), known in English as Northgate Street. The designation Stryd Pedwar a Chwech dates back to the 19th C when seamen's lodgings in this street charged 4s6d per week. The Black Boy itself dates back to 1522. The building is haunted by a rosary clicking nun. Human remains were dug up in the yard some years ago.
