Head of Threipmuir Reservoir
The upper stretch of the reservoir is cut off from the main reservoir by a causeway/dam. This ensures that the water level remains constant, no doubt for the benefit of the wildlife. Fluctuating water levels can be bad news when the rains come after a nest is built.
