Museum of Musical Instruments
As well as the oval concert hall, St Cecilia's Hall houses part of the University of Edinburgh's collection of musical instruments. The ground floor is devoted to bagpipes, and the first floor has a large collection of keyboard instruments - harpsichords, clavichords, virginals, spinets, organs and fortepianos from the period of their first construction to around 1840, many in playing order, and a display of harps, lutes, citterns and guitars.
