Fortification on Maker Heights
Fortification on Maker Heights
The Rame Peninsula is littered with old fortifications and gun emplacements. Here on Maker heights, overlooking Cawsand Bay they are most dense. Most of these are covered with trees and bushes but occasionally a wall or buttress pokes out such as the one show in the photograph which was probably part of a gun emplacement from Napoleonic times.
