Entrance from Glan-Rhyd Road into Glan-rhyd Plantation
Entrance from Glan-Rhyd Road into Glan-rhyd Plantation
This is the gate allowing access into Glan-rhyd Plantation from the road of the same name to the south.
The sign in shot indicates that this is one of Neath Port Talbot Council's countryside spots.
In the past there would have been a lodge near this entrance and the track would have led to Glanrhyd House built by William Gilbertson in the late 1800s. Nothing of the house remains today but the plantation contains some exotic trees he planted.
