Old Perth mercat cross
Old Perth mercat cross
According to RCAHMS, the cross was removed to the grounds of Fingask Castle in or after 1763, where it stood before being moved again to Dale House, Caithness around 1960. It was returned to Fingask in about 1982.

The now illegible inscription on a tablet near the base reads: "Pillar of the Old Market Cross of Perth pulled down by Cromwell's army in 1651 and rebuilt in 1699 and finally taken down in 1763."
