This is the actual bridge
The name of the town of Highbridge derives from this bridge. The old River Brue (once known locally as Ivel) used to flow underneath here before the lands were drained and diverted, especially in the latter twentieth century. Close by was the old cattle market ST3147 : The cattle have long gone - itself reclaimed from the waters.
