One of the most impressive memorials in the kirkyard at Kilconquhar. Part of the inscription reads, "Sacred to the Memory of Sir James Carstairs Bruce of Tillicoultry and Balchristie who died a sincere Christian, March 10th, 1835 aged 60. This monument is erected as a testimony of conjugal love and attachment by his widow Eliz. Cecilia Rollo, 4th daughter of Sir James, 7th. Lord Rollo, who died April 6th 1861 in the 20th year of her age and is here interred."
