SH5852 : Quarry road rising beyond gate

Quarry road rising beyond gate
Quarry road rising beyond gate
The quarry road rises from Rhyd-Ddu; beyond the gate it branches with one route going ahead to Bwlch Cwm Llan, the other turning uphill, to the left, for Snowdon.
The gate itself is unusual in that its location should never be in doubt - the blue disc on the top rail has the grid reference imprinted upon it - a feature noted on a number of gates in the area.
