Rochdale Railway Station Tram Stop
Rochdale Railway Station Tram Stop
Currently (2013) the East Didsbury to Rochdale extension of the Metrolink tramway terminates at the "Rochdale Railway Station" tramstop. Unlike the stops at Altrincham and Manchesterís Victoria and Piccadilly Stations, this one situated on Maclure Road, yards from the railway station itself; a not insignificant distance on a wet day like this one!

In this photo, taken from outside the railway station, a double tram (3034 at the front and 3056 at the rear) waits at the tram stop in readiness for the return journey to East Didsbury via Oldham and Manchester. The large building behind the tram stop is SD8912 : St John the Baptist R C Church.
