NN1973 : Aonach Mr summit plateau

taken 5 years ago, near to Aonach M?r [hill or Mountain], Highland, Great Britain

Aonach Mòr summit plateau
Aonach Mr summit plateau
Bleak, stony and desolate - the summit plateau of Aonach Mr. Despite the fact that it is one of only nine mountains in Scotland and the UK that top 4,000 feet, Aonach Mr appears to be largely neglected by walkers, presumably due in part to the proximity of Ben Nevis. Although the gondola enables walkers to gain a couple of thousand feet effortlessly, there is no obvious, clear path leading onwards to Aonach Mr.
