SX9291 : Exeter Canal Basin

taken 4 years ago, near to Exeter, Devon, Great Britain

Exeter Canal Basin
Exeter Canal Basin
The wide canal basin is now used by pleasure craft. The warehouse on the left is now a gallery. Beyond is the climbing tower of the Haven Banks Activity Centre. The gorilla statue was decorated for a "trail" in autumn 2013 to publicise the work of Paignton Zoo. The lamp in the foreground was taken from Exeter's bridge over the Exe when the bridge was replaced.
