Peastop Brook
Peastop Brook
The name of the field according to Seaford's 1839 tithe map that lies on the western side of the cuckmere River. Walls Brow is in the distance to the left of the darker green strip that marks out an old farm track that leads to Chyngton Farm and is now a permissive bridleway. The depression in the ground in the foreground is a former drainage ditch that are often known as wet fences which were used both for drainage and separating tracts of land.
