Exceat Bridge
Exceat Bridge
The current bridge dates from 1876 and was built to replace an older one that itself was built to replace a ferry. The bridge is only narrow enough for one lane and also has a pedestrian crossing which is awkwardly placed on the northern side which thus requires two crossings of the A259 if heading back to the car parks at Exceat as the pedestrian path on the causeway beyond is also on the south side. The entrance on the right is for the car park serving the Golden Galleon pub.
