River Adur in Shermanbury
River Adur in Shermanbury
This is the view from the public footpath bridge over the river at the weir near Shiprods Farm. The two wider outer weirs are high flow and the central narrow one is a low flow weir with a lower crest level than the other two. Old Victorian large scale Ordnance Survey maps show that the wood to the left was Sakeham Clappers, and also that the Adur upstream of here was known as Wyndham Brook.
