Cadhay House was built in 1550 on the site of an earlier house. It completely surrounds a central courtyard which has statues placed in niches above the four doorways. They are of Henry the Eighth and his three monarch offspring, Edward the sixth, Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth the first.
