The Waterworks Museum - steam engine
Inverted vertical single cylinder (enclosed) engine direct coupled to a generator. Built in 1917 by W H Allen Sons & Co Ltd of Bedford for naval use and eventually ended up in a field in Herefordshire. Acquired by the museum and restored to working order. Commissioned by the Mayor in 2013.
