The ruins of Minster Lovell Hall, Minster Lovell
The hall was built by William Lovell around 1440. The manor house then changed hands several times. In 1602 the house was bought by the Coke family who stayed here in the early 18th century. The Cokes abandoned this hall and built a new mansion at Holkham Hall, in Norfolk. Minster Lovell hall was dismantled by 1747.
