Side elevation of historic pumping station
When the Deeping Fen pumping station at Pode Hole was built it was the largest steam-powered pumping station in the country. The steam engines were retired in the early 20th century, and scrapped at the end of the second world war. But the pump house remains as part of the IDBs depot.
