Plaque for Leighton iron furnace
Plaque for Leighton iron furnace
'Near this site stood the Leighton iron furnace 1713 - 1806'. A 'City of Lancaster Heritage Building' plaque. I have deliberately left the location information off to discourage metal theft. The original furnace was close to Leighton Beck.
