Hamilton Mausolem
The great domed structure of the Dukes of Hamilton burial place, completed in 1858, was the dream of Alexander, 10th. Duke of Hamilton but he died before it was completed though his was re-interred in the great building. The precious burial place of ducal family was in the collegiate church near Hamilton Palace. Interestingly, the mausoleum is thought to have the longest lasting echo of any made made building in the world.
