Ben Lawers summit
Ben Lawers summit
Ben Lawers, the tenth highest mountain in Scotland, has the distinction of being the highest mountain in the whole of the UK outside the 4,000 foot plus group of nine, four of which are in the Lochaber area, while the other five are in the Cairngorms. As it is, Ben Lawers is a popular mountain without being an additional 17 feet higher. When you are at the top, there is a definite sense of being much higher than any of the surrounding peaks, as one would expect.
