Tophill Low Nature Reserve: aerial 2013
Tophill Low Nature Reserve an operational Yorkshire Water site. The two reservoirs (the "O" Reservoir is seen here) were built in 1959 as part of the Tophill Low Water Treatment Works. The scheme was designed to treat and hold water taken from the River Hull for use as drinking water in the East Hull and Holderness area.
The River Hull runs round the eastern side (bottom) and the Beverley and Barmston Drain passes to the west.
