NY5308 : The summit of Wasdale Pike

taken 4 years ago, near to Wasdale Pike [hill or Mountain], Cumbria, Great Britain

The summit of Wasdale Pike
The summit of Wasdale Pike
Wasdale Pike is strangely named, as the entire area is gently sloping grassland as seen here. The small pile of stones is probably on the highest point, though it is difficult to be sure. The photo is looking towards Great Yarlside.

Of course this Wasdale, south of Shap, has no connection with the better-known Wasdale on the west of the Lake District at the head of Wastwater.
