Broad Street passes The Square Tower
On the right (with two flags) is a Grade I listed building with English Heritage Building ID: 474317. It dates from around 1494 but was extensively altered to form first: a powder magazine circa 1580; and then the Admiralty Victualling Store about 1780. It was reinstated as part of the fortifications during the mid 19th C. and restored during the period 1978-1985. See also: LinkExternal link.
