Free at last?
Arms on the rear (away from the road) of the archway of Powis Gates. They combine aspects of the Leslie and Fraser family arms with "three black men" and are said to commemorate the granting of freedom to the slaves on the Fraser plantations in Jamaica in 1833: LinkExternal link . Motto: "Crescat Deo promotore" (may he prosper with God as his guide).
