Interior of St Dubricius Church, Porlock
Unusual dedication to St Dubricius, who was a sixth-century Abbot and Bishop. He was the illegitimate son of Effrddyl the daughter of the Welsh King Peibio Clafrog, who we are told threw his daughter in the River Wye upon learning of her pregnancy. However, she didn't drown, and went on to give birth to the son that grew up to be the archbishop that, legend has it, crowned King Arthur.
