Monument to the Battle of Falkirk
Monument to the Battle of Falkirk
There were two Battles of Falkirk, one in 1298 and one in 1746. The monument commemorates the later one, which was the last one in which the Jacobites were successful, defeating the Hanoverian army led by General Hawley. The monument was erected in 1926 and bears a rather uninformative NS8678 : Plaque.
