SP9208 : Glade in Drayton Wood

taken 4 years ago, near to Buckland Common, Buckinghamshire, Great Britain

Glade in Drayton Wood
Glade in Drayton Wood
Shafts of sunlight illuminate the mist in a glade in Drayton Wood. Most of this wood is continuous Beech trees with a few Spanish Chestnuts and the odd other species such as Oak. This quite broad unplanted section is therefore quite unusual; it has trunks of trees laid across it in a few places which I think are perhaps low jumps for horses.
