Chasewater Heaths Crossing Signal Box
Chasewater Heaths Crossing Signal Box
The 1899 signal box at Hademore Level Crossing was removed to Chasewater Heaths in April 2007. Its removal allowed widening of the West Coast Main Line railway to 4 tracks. The box controlled the road crossing at Hademore near Lichfield. The signal box was a London and North Western Railway type 4 design fitted with a 15 lever London and North Western Railway Tumbler frame.

The wire mesh to the windows was provided when the WCML was electrified in the 1960s. It may provide some vandal protection.
