Keathbank Works - steam engine
Keathbank Works - steam engine
Claimed to be 1865 but fitted with a much more modern design of cylinder that is claimed to be c1914-18.

The former jute works is now converted to accommodation but the engine survives within. Note the oval section flywheel rim (an early feature) with the gear ring bolted to the spokes. This engine is an interesting mixture of old and new and is certainly unique.
