Trinity House Lane, Kingston upon Hull
The original Star of the West public house, West Street, was demolished in 1997 for the proposed extension to the Prospect Centre shopping mall. The popular watering hole has recently relocated to Nos. 21 & 23 Trinity House Lane, taking with it the pub's trademark 'olde worlde' style, as well as its signage and glazed brick exterior.

The pub's name may have been a sea-faring reference, a significant portion of its clientele being mariners who had lodgings in the area.
