SK1551 : The Stepping Stones

The Stepping Stones
The Stepping Stones
The stones have been topped with lovely slabs of fossil-filled limestone, the fossils providing a measure of grip. Even when damp the stones give a fairly easy river crossing. The photo was taken quite early in the morning, before the sun had reached this chilly spot.
