Star and Garter, Fairfield Street, Manchester
Lofty old Victorian pub, built 1877, with an array of shaped and pedimented gables. The latter are filled with chequered stonework. Grade II listed.
The huge structure behind was once connected to the now-disused Mayfield Station (SJ8597 : Abandoned Manchester Mayfield station).
